Defensive Driving Course: Adult Remedial Driving Course

Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio presents a driver education course designed to keep individuals safe behind the wheel. The National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course provides drivers with the knowledge and techniques to prevent vehicular collisions and traffic violations. The course focuses on collision-avoidance techniques and addresses common driving mistakes that can result in dangerous accidents. It also teaches drivers how to adjust driving habits to eliminate costly moving violations.

Driver Intervention Program: Court-referred driver education

The 72-Hour Driver Intervention Program (DIP) is a residential program for OVI offenders administered through Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio. The program educates individuals about the physical, psychological and social effects of alcohol and drug use and is designed to reduce the risk of future alcohol and drug abuse arrests. The 72 Hour Driver Intervention Program also identifies persons who require further treatment and refer them to the appropriate treatment avenue. The program is certified by the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services.
